Brig. Gen. Larry D. Nicholson, commanding general of Marine Expeditionary Brigade - Afghanistan, pins the Bronze Star Medal on newly awarded Maj. Tom Clinton, the senior watch officer in the brigade's combat operations center at Camp Leatherneck, Helmand province, Afghanistan. Clinton was awarded the medal Sept. 15 in recognition of his contributions to operations while serving as the executive officer of the Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit during their deployment to southern Afghanistan in 2008.
