GETTYSBURG, Pennsylvania (July 3, 2015) Sailors assigned to the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Gettysburg (CG 64) pose on the battlefields of Gettysburg, Pa., with Civil War-era re-enactors and their flags. The re-enactors, members of the Civil War Heritage Foundation, are volunteers for the nonprofit foundation. Gettysburg Sailors participated in several service projects to honor the ship’s longstanding ties to its namesake town during the 152nd anniversary of the Civil War battle.
