Paratroopers with Headquarters Company, Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, paddle with all their might during a half-mile, relay boat race held Sept. 24 in honor of the 65th anniversary of the famous "Crossing of the Waal" River by engineers and infantrymen during WWII. Engineers from the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, N.C. have commemorated the river crossing with a boat race competition for years.
