SAN DIEGO (March 10, 2015) Aviation Machinist’s Mate 3rd Class Constance Ford stands by to note discrepancies as Chief Hospital Corpsman Michael Parke inspects a troop berthing during a zone inspection aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4). Zone inspections help to improve a ship’s material condition which improves combat readiness and support the “Warfighting First” tenet as directed by Commander, Naval Surface Forces and the Chief of Naval Operations.
