The cable section will require stabilization to the ocean bottom, and split-pipe encasement for protection against chafing on the seafloor. UCT 2's Construction Dive Detachment Charlie (CDDC) is performing subsea cable maintenance at the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF). CDDC is on the first stop of their deployment, where they are conducting inspection, maintenance, and repair of various underwater and waterfront facilities in support of the Pacific Fleet.
