150714-N-ZZ999-002 BARKING SANDS, Hawaii (July 14, 2015) Builder 2nd Class Ben Reed, assigned to Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2, inspects tubes containing hydrophone cables for corrosion and exposed cable that will need to be patched or need cathodic protection. UCT 2's Construction Dive Detachment Charlie (CDDC) is performing subsea cable maintenance at the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF). CDDC is on the first stop of their deployment, where they are conducting inspection, maintenance, and repair of various underwater and waterfront facilities in support of the Pacific Fleet.
