Col. Christopher Gibson, commander of 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, speaks to Egyptian paratroopers following a reception brief Sept. 28, 2009 welcoming the Egyptian, German, Pakistani and Kuwaiti troopers to Fort Bragg for Operation Bright Star. The foreign soldiers will be staying at Fort Bragg for two weeks learning to use U.S. Army weapons and conducting airborne operations. On Oct. 12, U.S. troopers will travel to Egypt to complete the second half of the mission.
