Capt. Adam Kennedy, commander of Alpha Company, 2916th Aviation Battalion with U.S. Army National Training Center Fort Irwin, stationed at Barstow-Daggett Airport, keeps a watchful eye on the maps he downloaded to his iPad and monitors the progress of the aircraft as they finished their mission to escort a Lakota aircraft on its final voyage with the crew, from Daggett to Woodland, Calif., July 13. The Lakota helicopter's final destination will be the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence at Fort Rucker, Ala., and will be the center's primary training aircraft for flight school students while they are first learning how to fly helicopters.
