Capt. Adam Kennedy, company commander and pilot, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Greg Spalding, pilot and Sgt. James Bailey, crew chief with Alpha Company, 2916th Aviation Battalion with U.S. Army National Training Center Fort Irwin, stationed at Barstow-Daggett Airport, flew Black Hawk and Lakota aircraft over central California on the Lakota's final voyage with the crew, from Daggett to Woodland, Calif., July 13. The Lakota helicopter's final destination will be the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence at Fort Rucker, Ala., and will be the center's primary training aircraft for flight school students while they are first learning how to fly helicopters.
