A memorial ceremony was held Oct. 1 at the Base Chapel aboard MacDill Air Force Base, in order to honor Gunnery Sgt. Aaron M. Kenefick who made the ultimate sacrifice and was killed in action on Sept. 8, while conducting combat operations in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
