U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. James Gecoma, 823rd Expeditionary RED HORSE Squadron well-drilling operations superintendent, holds the drilling fluid pump while U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Eric Jones takes down information about the pump and U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Anthony Davala keeps the pump steady at the well site in Brisas del Mar, Honduras, July 23, 2015. The pump information will be provided to 12th Air Force in order to purchase a new pump. The Brisas del Mar well site is the second well the 823rd ERHS has worked on during the New Horizons Honduras 2015 training exercise. New Horizons was launched in the 1980s and is an annual joint humanitarian assistance exercise that U.S. Southern Command conducts with a partner nation in Central America, South America or the Caribbean. The exercise improves joint training readiness of U.S. and partner nation civil engineers, medical professionals and support personnel through humanitarian assistance activities.
