Utilitiesman 2nd Class Eric Martin, assigned to Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2, connects cathodic protection to hydrophone cables to provide protection against corrosion and extend the life of the system. UCT 2's Construction Dive Detachment Charlie (CDDC) is performing subsea cable maintenance at the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF). CDDC is on the first stop of their deployment, where they are conducting inspection, maintenance, and repair of various underwater and waterfront facilities in support of the Pacific Fleet.
