Builder 2nd Class Joseph Hophan, assigned to Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2, connects protective split-piping to a cable crossing, which will provide chafing protection to ensure the cables are not damaged from movement during strong currents or large swells. UCT 2's Construction Dive Detachment Charlie (CDDC) is performing subsea cable maintenance at the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF).
