Thunderbirds fly in formation above a C-17 Globemaster III from Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, during an air show in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Oct. 3. The Elmendorf C-17 crew and another from Hickam AFB, Hawaii, are taked with getting the team to nine venues throughout the Pacific, including Australia, Thailand, Japan and South Korea. The Thunderbirds tour is designed to foster friendships with U.S. allies in the regioin, which helps promote security and stability throughout the Pacific.
