U.S. Navy Seabees, Padarevo Mayor Ivan Sinigerov and U.S. Army Lt. Col. David Hurley cut a ribbon, Oct. 5, to officially mark the reopening of the Vela Peeva Kindergarten. The building and playground were renovated by members of the Bulgarian Land Forces, U.S. Navy and Army, and a local contractor. The combined effort was part of Joint Task Force-East's humanitarian civic assistance mission, which also aided in improving the quality of life for children.
