CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti (Aug. 2, 2015) U.S. Marine Sgt. Ryan Jackson stands in front of a formation during his promotion ceremony. Jackson is a squad leader with India Company, Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and was meritoriously promoted to corporal this month. Elements of the 15th MEU are ashore in Djibouti for sustainment training to maintain and enhance the skills they developed during their pre-deployment training period. The 15th MEU is currently deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
