Soldiers with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, instruct an Estonian ally on how the mortar system operates during a call for fire live exercise, Estonia, Aug. 7. The Estonian army joined their American allies for a day of hands-on joint training on call for fire and firing of the 60 mm mortars, a welcome change of pace from the Estonian army's usual classroom instruction on the systems. The event was a part of Operation Atlantic Resolve an ongoing series of training exercises designed to build relationships, trust and interoperability between the U.S. and its NATO allies.
