INDIAN OCEAN (Aug. 4, 2015) A U.S. Marine with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Maritime Raid Force fires at a target while moving toward cover during a deck shoot aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2). These Marines practiced shooting on the move as well as engaging their targets from behind barricades to enhance their marksmanship skills. The 15th MEU is embarked on the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
