Ronald Wade (center), cargo mate, of the USNS Walter S. Diehl (T-AO 193) supervises civilian mariners as they load valuable Project Hand Clasp materials from ship to deliver to a local Thai community July 10. While docked, they presented one pallet of hygiene and medical materials to the Ban Pluakdang School and Hospital. During the community relations event, the civil service mariner volunteers interacted with more than 400 children and school faculty members. The USNS Walter S. Diehl is on voyage repair status in Thailand. Volunteers conducted multiple community relations events to benefit local agencies in the Pattaya, Sriracha and Chantabury region.
