Michael Hasel, a 92G food service specialist from F Company, Forward Support Company, 145th Brigade Support Battalion, 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team (CBCT), Idaho Army National Guard, inventories his company’s equipment with the help of Pfc. Juan Lopez, 88M motor transport operator, during a night-shift work detail at Fort Irwin, Calif., Aug. 11. The 116th CBCT moved into Fort Irwin’s Rotational Unit Bivouac Area (RUBA) with more than 5,200 Soldiers and 1,400 vehicles to prepare for 12 days of live-fire exercises and force-on-force simulated battles at the National Training Center.
