    Lt. Gen. Richard Mills presents a Certificate of Status and Congressional Gold Medal to Addie Reed, the wife of Montford Point Marine Cpl. Thomas N. Reed, during the 50th Anniversary of the Montford Point Marines Association Aug. 12, 2015, at the Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel in Mobile, Ala. The Congressional Gold Medal, the highest civilian honor awarded by Congress, is presented to Montford Point Marines for their service and dedication to their country during a time of segregation.
