OKINAWA, Japan (August 8, 2015) Yeoman 2nd Class Jarret Guitierrez, from Mission Viejo, Calif., prepares awards for Seabees in Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5. Guitierrez is the battalion’s administration department supervisor working in a five person office. He oversees the administrative needs, awards, policies, and career evaluations for the 600 Seabees spread across the Pacific in 18 different locations. NMCB 5 is currently deployed to Japan and several countries in the Pacific area of operations conducting construction operations and humanitarian assistance projects.
