The crew of the USS Wayne E. Meyer standby during thier ships' commissioning ceremony Oct. 10 in historical Penn's Landing in Philadelphia. Radm. Wayne E. Meyer known as the Father of Aegis was responsible for pioneering the Aegis Weapons System. He passed away just one month shy of his ship's commissioning.
