Pvt. Arland Nguefack and Spc. Sepribo Taylor speak with Kay Miller, an Army Career Employment Specialist (ACES) with the Army Reserve Private Public Partnership, during the Hiring Our Heroes Employment Workshop and Networking Reception, at the Office of the Chief, Army Reserve on Fort Belvoir, Aug. 18. The Army Reserve, co-sponsor of the event, is uniquely positioned to help transitioning Soldiers with its long history of translating military training and skills into a language the civilian workforce can understand. This includes highlighting Soldiers’ leadership skills, which add value to the Army, the civilian workforce, and its communities. ACES are located at Army Reserve Centers throughout the U.S. and work as a conduit between Soldiers and veteran-hiring companies that advance opportunities for professional and trade career development, credentialing and certification opportunities, as well as mentor relationships. ACES ensure leadership readiness.
