Sgt. Andrew Milzarski, a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan and a member of a strike team assigned to Task Force First Round, removes debris during training on how to create an indirect fireline on the Kalispel Indian Reservation, Wash. Creating the indirect fireline has two end states as the Soldiers receive required training before going out to suppress wildfires and land that the Native Americans find sacred is protected if the wildfires grow more than expected.
