Active duty Soldiers with the 664th Ordnance Company, 553rd CSSB from Fort Hood, Texas, remove blocking and bracing from a shipping container containing ammunition at the Army National Guard’s ammunition supply point at Camp Santiago on Aug. 22. Safety and accountability were top concerns while handling the ammunition which was delivered to Port Ponce by an Army Reserve Logistics Support Vessel, saving the Army nearly $2 million in transportation costs. The mission was part of exercise Nationwide Move 15 and the ammunition resupply will support U.S. military needs throughout the Caribbean. NWM is an annual Army Reserve approved functional training exercise designed to provide Reserve component transportation units with valuable, realistic training by conducting real-world operations in support of Continental United States (CONUS) activities.
