Land (AS 39), explains weapons transport and recovery capabilities to staff members to the House Armed Services Committee. The staff also had the opportunity to use a firearms training simulator during the tour. Emory S. Land is forward deployed expeditionary submarine tender on an extended deployment conducting coordinated tended moorings and afloat maintenance in the U.S. 5th and 7th Fleet areas of responsibility.
