Lt. Gen. (R) Dennis M. McCarthy, assistant secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs, visited Task Force Sinai in El Gorah, Egypt, to hold a Town hall meeting with Soldiers, Oct. 22. Col. James Mingo, the U.S. Commander of Task Force Sinai and Multi-National Forces and Observers Chief of Staff, hosted Secretary McCarthy and Maj. Gen. William E. Ingram Jr., adjutant general of the North Carolina National Guard during their visit. The MFO mission has been in existence since 1982, monitoring the peace between Egypt and Israel.
