A fire support specialist, Charlie Battery, 3rd Battalion, 319 Airborne Field Artillery Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division Artillery, conducts a radio check with the pilots of an AH-64 Apache assigned to 1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort A.P. Hill, Va., on Sept. 17. Both aircrews and fire support specialist will partner to refine their training during a close combat attack mission exercise in order to better support the ground commanders with aviation fire support assets.
