Sgt. 1st Class Daniel R. Wright, a Hutchinson, Kan., native who served as the senior mortuary affairs advisor for the 3rd ESC for the 3rd ESC, is awarded the Meritorious Service Medal by Maj. Gen. James M. Milano, Fort Knox commanding general, and Command Sgt. Maj. John W. Troxell, Fort Knox senior enlisted leader, upon his retirement during the United States Army Armor Center and Fort Knox Retirement Ceremony here Thursday at the Leaders Club. Wright was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for his meritorious service from Jan. 31, 2000 to Jan. 31, 2010. Wright has served overseas in Germany, the Republic of Korea, Italy, and Hawaii. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal and the Army Achievement Medal.
