Master Sgt. Gerardo Flores, a Ponce, Puerto Rico, native who served as the non-commissioned officer in charge of logistics for the 3rd ESC, is awarded the Meritorious Service Medal by Maj. Gen. James M. Milano, Fort Knox commanding general, and Command Sgt. Maj. John W. Troxell, Fort Knox senior enlisted leader, upon his retirement during the United States Army Armor Center and Fort Knox Retirement Ceremony here Thursday at the Leaders Club. Flores was awared the Meritorious Service Medal for his meritorious service from Oct. 10, 1999 to Oct. 10, 2009. Flores has served overseas in Germany, the Republic of Korea, and Puerto Rico.
