Watercraft engineers Spc. Jason Hatley from Albermarle, N.C., and Spc. John Hamilton of Sacramento, Calif., rebuild the fuel oil purifier on their boat LSV-6 James A. Loux, Oct. 16, in Kuwait. "The purifier helps to clean the fuel before it gets to the engine," said Hamilton. "A cleaner burning fuel means less work for us later on, so we try our best to keep it up," he said. The LSV-6 is a Logistics Support Vessel which carries cargo and/or equipment throughout the theater in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. LSV-6 has a very important role in supporting the responsible drawdown of Iraq and the reset of equipment into Afghanistan.
