Bette Bolivar, left, commander, Joint Region Marianas, poses for a photo with Navy Diver 2nd Class Erik Clark, the son of retired Master Chief Navy Diver Duane Clark, a master diver who worked with Bolivar at a previous command, prior to conducting diving operations with Sailors from the submarine tender USS Frank Cable’s (AS 40) dive locker, Sept. 22. Bolivar, the senior diving officer on Guam, came out to Frank Cable to spend time with Frank Cable divers in their preferred element, underwater. Frank Cable, forward deployed to the island of Guam, conducts maintenance and support of submarines and surface vessels deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
