The USS Somerset (LPD-25) arrived in San Francisco on Oct. 5, 2015, as part of Fleet Week San Francisco 2015. This year SFFW 2015 will happen from Oct. 5-12, As the largest and most significant West Coast event of its kind, SFFW features various displays and performances from Marines and sailors from various installations and blends a unique training and education program that brings together key civilian emergency responders and military crisis-response forces to exchange best practices focused on humanitarian assistance disaster relief with particular emphasis on defense support to civil authorities.
