151002-N-WO404-147 PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 2, 2015) Sailors watch from the signal bridge as the Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Chafee (DDG 90), center, maneuvers into formation with Peruvian navy Carvajal-class frigates BAP Villavisencio (FM 52) and BAP Mariategui (FM 54) as they participate in a photo exercise with the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73). George Washington is deployed as a part of Southern Seas 2015. The eighth deployment of its kind, Southern Seas seeks to enhance interoperability, increase regional stability, and build and maintain regional relationships with countries throughout the region through joint multinational and interagency exchanges and cooperation.
