U.S. Army Spc. Renaldo Velez, a member of the U.S. Army Reserve's 398th Finance Detachment, explains the parts and functions of an M16 rifle during a Multinational Battle Group-East Soldier of the Month competition, held Oct. 3, 2015, on Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo. Velez has been serving in Kosovo since July 2015, as part of NATO's peace support mission in the region.
