YOKOSUKA, Japan (Oct. 13, 2015) – U.S. Naval Hospital (USNH) Yokosuka, Commanding Officer, Capt. Glen Crawford, observes Sailors in ranks during a command service dress uniform inspection, held in honor of the 240th birthday of the United States Navy. The Continental Navy was established on Oct. 13, 1775 by the Continental Congress to dispatch two armed vessels to search for munitions ships that supplied the British army in America. USNH Yokosuka is the largest U.S. military treatment facility on mainland Japan caring for approximately 43,000 eligible beneficiaries.
