ARABIAN SEA (Oct. 16, 2015) Seaman Bethany Miller and Cpl. Stephen Hill clear the flight deck of Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47) after attaching cargo to a SA 330 Puma for transport during a vertical replenishment with the Military Sealift Command Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo ship USNS Carl Brashear (T-AKE 7). Rushmore is part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
