Staff Sgt. Darrel Wade, 42nd Military Police Detachment, 16th MP Brigade, lets children try on the protective suit after showing a military working dog demonstration during this year's Picnic in the Grove presented by the John L. Throckmorton Library Saturday, Nov. 14, at Fort Bragg, N.C. "Showing the children the capabilities of the military working dog is very important in case they see us working the roads, they don't run up and approach us," Wade, a native of Neptune, N.J., said. Wade, along with other performers were there to help promote reading throughout National Children's Book Month.
