U.S. Army Sgt. Earl Thomas, a military working dog handler from the 525th Military Working Dog Detachment out of Wiesbaden, Germany, participates in a building-clearance exercise with Staff Sgt. Lex, his partner military working dog, and Austrian soldiers from the Kosovo Force International Military Police, Sept. 30, 2015, on Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo. Thomas, Lex, and their military police partners from the 363rd Military Police Company are currently deployed to Kosovo with Multinational Battle Group-East, part of NATO’s KFOR peace support mission. The day’s training was conducted to ensure the military police teams are familiar with military working dog procedures while responding to active-shooter or explosive ordnance situations.
