GULF OF ADEN (Oct. 29, 2015) U.S. Navy Sailor Petty Officer 1st Class David Johnson prepares steaks for the October birthday dinner aboard the USS Anchorage (LPD 23). Johnson is a culinary specialist aboard the Anchorage. Marines and Sailors celebrated their birthdays for the month of October with a steak and lobster tail dinner served by their staff noncommissioned officers. The 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, embarked on the ships of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group, is deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
