WATERS OFF OKINAWA, Japan – Family members and friends of the crew aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) look out from the forward lookout aboard the ship. Germantown is hosting a “Tiger Cruise,” where family members and friends of the crew have a chance at a few days underway aboard the ship. Finishing up its fall patrol, Germantown completed Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2015 with Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand, Amphibious Landing Exercise (PHIBLEX) with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and Blue Chromite, a joint exercise with the U.S. Marine Corps.
