    455th Air Expeditionary Wing

Capt. T.J. Sonne, a pilot from the 772nd Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, communicates with an aircrew member inside the C-130J to know how much more fuel they will need for their mission, Nov, 30. Compared to older C-130s, the J-model climbs faster and higher, flies farther at a higher cruise speed, and takes off and lands in a shorter distance. Sonne is deployed from Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark., and hails from New Albany, Ind.
