Kenya army soldiers attempt to contain a crowd of angry villagers during a training scenario near Ali Faden, Djibouti, Dec. 3, 2009. The villagers are rioting in response to one of their fellow villagers being hit and thought to be killed by a military vehicle. This training scenario is set to test the response actions of the Kenya army soldiers in dealing with riot and crowd control. The Eastern African Standby Force Field Training Exercise is a multinational, multidimensional exercise that is designed to test the EASF initial operating capabilities. This series of field exercises are being conducted in the host nation of Djibouti Nov. 29 - Dec. 4, 2009.
