The three belong to 1st Platoon, A Company, 106th Brigade Support Battalion, out of Magee, Miss., and attached to 2nd Battalion, 198th Combined Arms, headquartered in Senatobia, Miss. The platoon members would prepare that evening for a return convoy security mission to Contingency Operating Location Q-West, marking their 34th mission since arriving in Iraq.
