151123-N-XO016-006: PHILIPPINE SEA (Nov. 23, 2015) – Sailors engage a simulated class alpha fire while receiving feedback from Chief Damage Controlman Cyprus Abundo, right, a member of the damage control training team aboard the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40), during damage control training evolutions, Nov. 23. The drill was intended to train crew members in damage control techniques and promote readiness in case of an actual emergency. Frank Cable, forward deployed to the island of Guam, conducts maintenance in support of submarines and surface vessels deployed in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility and is currently on a scheduled underway period.
