F-16 Falcons from the 77th Fighter Squadron, Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., await the dawn on the flight line Dec. 10 at Tyndall AFB, Fla. The aircraft are participating in a Weapon System Evaluation Program with the 53rd Weapons Evaluation Group and are also playing a role in the Checkered Flag exercise at Tyndall this week. This exercise provides an invaluable training opportunity for legacy aircraft to train with fifth-generation aircraft such as the F-22 Raptor and the F-35 Lightning II.
