Recruits of Charlie Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, strike tire wheels during the Bayonet Assault Course at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Dec. 29. Drill instructors directed the recruits through the course to ensure they were getting the most out of the event. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Charlie Company is scheduled to graduate Jan. 22.
