Iraqi soldiers with the 72nd Iraqi Army Brigade move up a staircase while clearing a house during a combined arms breach training exercise (CABEX) at Besmaya Range Complex, Iraq, Jan. 24, 2016. The CABEX is designed to force Iraqi leaders to use multiple assets to accomplish a mission. The final assault into the building was only possible after Iraqi engineers cleared the obstacles surrounding the objective, validating the purpose of the CABEX. This training is part of the overall Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve building partner capacity mission to increase the military capacity of Iraqi Security Forces fighting the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
