    160212-N-RM689-271 GULF OF THAILAND (Feb. 12, 2016) - The Republic of Korea’s ship Choen Wang Bong (LST 686) navigates the waters off the coast of Thailand as part of an amphibious capabilities demonstration in support of Cobra Gold (CG) 16. Ashland is assigned to the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group, and is participating in exercise CG 16, a Thai-U.S. co-sponsored multinational joint exercise designed to advance regional security by exercising a robust multinational force from nations sharing common goals and security commitments in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
